Celebrity in the shop, Mort Getberg!
This is Mort Getberg. He happened to be in the shop about a week or so ago. He illustrated the book More Spaghetti I Say, which is a pretty well known Early Reader book. I actually used it while I was a reading intervention teacher.
It was an honor to have him at the shop! The New Yorker put out a celebratory article about his career if you want to know more about his life’s work and see more examples of his illustrations/cartooning.
